Nathan Ghavidel joined the UST men's basketball staff as an assistant coach in August 2023.
Ghavidel, a former Celt basketball player, joins Coach Medina’s staff after earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from St. Thomas in May of 2023.
Prior to joining the Celts staff, Ghavidel was the Head Boys Basketball coach for the Junior Varsity and 6th grade programs and an Assistant coach for the Varsity program at Bracken Christian School. Ghavidel has also coached at the AAU level in Texas.
As a player for the Celts, Ghavidel was a member of SCAC regular season championship team in 2020; making several starts for the team over the season. He played his high school career for the highly regarded Stan Leech and the Boerne Champion Chargers from 2015-2019. Ghavidel is the all-time leading scorer for the boys basketball program at Champion high school in his hometown of Boerne, Texas.
