Men's Basketball Topples Tigers 82-50

In a commanding performance, St. Thomas (Tex.) secured an 82-50 victory over Colorado College on December 29, 2023. St. Thomas showcased their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity, dominating their opponent throughout the game.

From the outset, St. Thomas demonstrated their scoring efficiency, amassing a substantial 49-23 lead by halftime. Marion Williams and Calvin Williams IV led the charge with accurate shooting from beyond the arc, providing a significant advantage. St. Thomas' defensive efforts limited Colorado College's offensive opportunities, resulting in a comfortable lead heading into the second half.

The second half continued in a similar fashion, with St. Thomas outscoring Colorado College 33-27. The well-balanced scoring and collective defensive efforts by St. Thomas players demonstrated their depth and team cohesion.

Marion Williams and Calvin Williams IV finished as the leading scorers for St. Thomas, both contributing 16 points. Angel Johnson added 11 points, showcasing the team's balanced offensive attack. Elazar Conley was a force on the boards, securing seven rebounds.

Colorado College faced challenges against St. Thomas' formidable defense, shooting 32.7% from the field and 29.2% from beyond the arc. Dinari Boykin led Colorado College in scoring with 8 points.

St. Thomas' victory improved their season record to an impressive 11-2 overall and 3-1 in the SCAC, highlighting their status as a formidable contender in the conference. Colorado College's record moved to 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the SCAC.
