Celts Coast Through Colorado College 87-52

Men's Basketball collected another SCAC win as they coasted past Colorado College 87-52.  Four Celts were in double digits as St. Thomas continued their undefeated run in conference play.

Both teams came out firing out of the gate, hitting early threes as the score was tied 11-1. With the score tied, the Celts began to pull away as back-to-back buckets from Nick Anderson and Calen Anderson helped start a 10-2 run. This would be just enough to help take the lead and keep it. From there on St. Thomas showcased a scoring clinic for the rest of the half, going 10-16 from the field as everybody got involved including freshman players Nick Anderson, Angel Johnson, and Luke Ramirez.

Starting the second half, the Celts continued their hot streak as it seemed like they could not miss as shots. Big buckets from Herman Herde-Conde and Cameron Collins kept the Celts rolling as this one started to get away from Colorado College. As time was expiring St.Thomas would only add to their lead and come away on top 87-52 to stay undefeated in the conference.

Offensively, Calvin Williams led the Celts with 18 points. Calen Anderson wouldn't be too far behind as he would put up 12 points including 9 rebounds. Freshman Angel Johnson and Nick Anderson both put up 11 points.

Up next, the Celts hit the road to Kerrville for a rematch with SCAC rival Schreiner. Follow UST athletics for all updates.
