The Celts split this weekends matchup with TLU Bulldogs after dropping Saturday's game 64-55. After struggling to score in the first half, the Celts faced a 15-point halftime deficit that would prove to be too much to overcome.

Cameron Gims opened up the scoring with a put-back layup off of a missed three by Adam Kanafani, and the teams would trade buckets for the first six minutes of the game as the Celts trailed 11-10 with 14:20 left in the first half. The Celts would only make two more shots over the remainder of the half, those makes coming from a 3 pointer from Cameron Gims and jump shot from Zach Golaszewski on back to back possessions. The Celts woes in the first half would lead to a 36-21 halftime deficit.

A three pointer by the Bulldogs to open the second half would extend their lead to 18, but the Celts would not go away. A jump shot by Juan Hood brought the Celts within ten points with 12:13 left in the contest. The Celts would continue to chip away at the lead, getting it down to six on two separate occasions, the final one coming after a layup by Josh Sanchez with 3:28 left in the contest. After bringing it all the way back to a two possession game, the Celts could not get over the hump, and would be outscored 9-6 in the final three minutes of the match.

Josh Sanchez, Juan Hood, and Adam Kanafani all scored in double figures, Sanchez leading the way with 16 points and 3 steals. Hood and Kanafani posted 12 and 11 points of their own. The Celts shooting woes were a large part of the loss, making only 14.3% (3-21) of their three-pointers. Their rebounding kept them in the game, out rebounding the Bulldogs 39-27 on the game and 15-6 on the offensive glass. 

The Celts will return home to face Colorado College this Friday at 7:00 PM.
