Men's Basketball advanced to the SCAC Semifinal game with an 84-76 victory over UDallas.

To open up their first ever SCAC tournament game, The Celts struggled to find their stroke early. UDallas was able take advantage of the Celts shooting woes and maintained a steady lead throughout the half. With the Celts fighting uphill for the majority of the period, Freddie Ricks provided a huge spark off the bench, giving UST a much-needed energy boost. He was able to knock down two triples and end the period with nine points. As the Celts struggled from outside, Adam Kanafani put up 14 points and eight rebounds to ignite the UST offense. As the teams traded blows down the stretch, a Kanafani jumper with 0.8 seconds left brought the deficit to two heading into the break.

The second half slug fest started with the Celts taking the lead on a Cameron Gims three-pointer. This lead would teeter back and forth as both teams fought for their semifinals birth. Freddie Ricks III and Christian Alaekwe would drain back-to-back triples to push their lead to six with ten minutes left to play. The Crusaders wouldn't go away that easily and would keep within striking distance down the stretch. Five straight free throws by the Celts shut the door on UDallas and secured UST a spot in SCAC semifinals. 

UST had four players in doubles; Christian Alaekwe would lead the way for the Celts posting 19 points and grabbing six boards. Not far behind him was Ricks with a season-high 18 points of his own off the bench. Adam Kanafani controlled the paint grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds, complimented by his 14 points. Juan Hood would chip in 13 points and dish out six assists with only one turnover. Defensively Cameron Gims was all over the place recording three blocks and four steals. He also had a near double-double with nine points and nine boards.

The Celts will advance to the Semifinals where they will face No. 3 Centenary College.
