NICK ANDERSON, UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, a sophomore guard from League City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, December 18 through Thursday, December 21.  SCAC Men's Basketball Release (Week 7)

Anderson pushed the Celts to a 10-2 record this season after collecting victories at home over Washington and Lee, and Luther this week. He averaged 18.0 points per game on and impressive 59.1 percent shooting (13-for-22), highlighted by 22 points in the win over Luther. His 22-point effort was fueled by connecting on 80 percent from the field (8-of-10) and 75 percent from beyond the arc (6-of-8). Against W&L he poured in 14 points on 41.7 percent (5-of-12) from the field, including 2-for-5 from beyond the arc. In addition, Anderson added 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game in the two non-conference victories prior to the Holiday Break.
