HOUSTON, Texas – The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf team opened their spring season at home, co-hosting the Space City Classic alongside Trinity University. After the first round at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course, the Celts are tied for third place with Southwestern (TX), posting a team score of +39.

Nationally ranked Trinity (#24) leads the tournament at +19, followed by #28 Mary Hardin-Baylor at +27. With another round to play, UST remains in position to make a push up the leaderboard.
Cameron Frazier led the charge for the Celts, finishing the first round at +7, placing her in a tie for seventh. Right behind her, Emma Koch posted a solid +8 to claim 11th place. Emma Cook followed closely, tying for 13th at +10.
Leah Torres and Regina Garcia Perez both carded a +14, tying for 24th overall. Competing as an individual, Xiadani Islas also posted a +14.
With a strong team effort, UST has put itself in a competitive position heading into the final round.
