Trinity Le's Career Best Leads Celts at Day 1 of John Bohmann Invitational

The opening round of the John Bohmann Invitational in women's golf showcased strong competition and impressive performances by various teams and individual players. St. Thomas was led by three top-ten finishes to lock in second place after the opening round of action. Senior Trinity Le fired her career-best round at 73 (+2) to finish tied for third. 

Individual Standings:

  • Trinity Le (St. Thomas) - Tied for 3rd place with a score of 73 (+2)
  • Juliana Hudman (St. Thomas) - Tied for 6th place with a score of 75 (+4)
  • Emma Luna (St. Thomas) - Tied for 9th place with a score of 76 (+5)
  • Emma Cook (St. Thomas) - Tied for 15th place with a score of 77 (+6)
  • Regina Perez (St. Thomas) - Ranked 40th with a score of 87 (+16)

Round 1 saw St. Thomas (Texas) positioned at a respectable T-2, with a team score of 301, finishing the day at +17. Trinity Le led the charge for the St. Thomas team, carding an impressive round of 73 to secure a T-3 position individually. Juliana Hudman, Emma Luna, and Emma Cook also contributed to the team's solid performance, with scores of 75, 76, and 77, respectively. Regina Perez rounded out the team's efforts with a score of 87.

Competing as an individual, Freshman Emma Koch fired an 83 (+12) to lock in 32nd place. 

When the scores were tallied, St. Thomas tied with SCAC foe Trinity for second place on day one. They are just five strokes behind first place UT-Dallas. 

As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on St. Thomas (Texas) as they aim to build on their strong start and compete for the top spot in the John Bohmann Invitational. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting golf tournament!
