Women's Golf capped off another remarkable performance at the Linda Lowery Invitational, securing their 5th top-three finish of the season with an impressive 2nd place overall. The Celts exhibited remarkable improvement, shaving off 5 strokes from their day one score to finish at +45, propelled by two stellar top-ten finishes.
Junior standout Emma Luna and seasoned Senior Trinity Le clinched 5th and 9th place, respectively, showcasing their prowess as a dynamic duo crucial to the Celts' success on the day.
The Lineup:
Emma Luna encountered some challenges on day two, posting an 84 (+12) in the final round. Despite the hurdles, Luna's impressive total of 8 pars combined with her strong day one showing of 75 (+3) secured her a commendable 5th place finish.
Trinity Le displayed unwavering consistency on day two, matching her round one score with a solid 82 (+10). Le's round featured 8 pars and a pivotal birdie on hole nine, ensuring her presence among the top contenders.
Freshman sensation Emma Cook showcased improvement, lowering her score by three strokes to an 85 (+13) in round two. Cook's round was marked by nine pars, contributing to her impressive 13th place finish.
Sophomore Regina Perez emerged as a force to be reckoned with in the final round, shaving off an impressive 11 strokes to finish with an 82 (+10) on day two. Perez's round included eight pars, securing her a commendable 15th place finish and playing a pivotal role in St. Thomas's surge to second place.
Rounding out the Celt's lineup, freshman Emma Koch delivered a consistent performance, matching her day one score with a 93 (+21) in the final round. Koch's round featured four pars, earning her a respectable 22nd place finish and contributing to the team's overall success.
