Women's Golf Finishes Third At SCAC Championships

Women's Golf concluded their season today at the SCAC Championships. After the final round, the Celts finished third overall with 995 strokes (+131) and just three strokes behind second place. 

The team was led by All-SCAC Performances from Emma Luna and Trinity Le who finished within the top ten of the tournament. 

The Lineup

The Celts were led by junior Emma Luna who finished 8th place. Luna fired an 84 (+12) in the final round which brought her total score to 242 (+26). 

In her final tournament as a Celt, Senior Trinity Le delivered an All-SCAC performance firing an 85 (+13) to bring her score to 248 (+32). Le's day three scorecard included 9 pars on the course.

Freshman Emma Koch carded an 88 (+16) in the final round of action. Koch had 4 pars and 2 birdies to finish just outside the top ten with a 255 (+39) at 12th place.

Right behind Koch was Sophomore Regina Perez at 13th place overall. Perez carded a 92 (+20) for a total score of 259 (+43). 

Not far behind was freshman Emma Cook who impressed in the final round. Cook fired an 83, her lowest score of the tournament, behind two birdies to lock in 15th place. Cook's total score was 260 (+44). 

Notable Stats:

  • Emma Luna led the tournament with a 3.08 scoring average (+1)  on par 3 holes. 
  • St. Thomas was third in the tournament with 13 birdies overall
  • St. Thomas was third overall with 118 pars across all teams
  • Emma Cook led the tournament with 5 birdies overall
