Women's Golf Takes Second at Queen of the Hill Country

Women's Golf had a strong showing at the Queen of the Hill Country in Comfort, Texas. The Celts competed at The Buckhorn Golf Course and would take home second place. Freshman Emma Luna would lead the way for St. Thomas, finishing second overall.

Luna would provide consistent play, shooting a 75 in each of the two rounds. Her stellar performance, as well as Eden Hall's would land the Celts in first place after day one. Hall would shoot a career-best 76 (+5), placing her third overall.

The Celts would open up the second day leading Our Lady of the Lake by one stroke. However, the Saints would shoot low and edge the Celts for the top spot. Myra Truong would yet again have a solid tournament, shooting 13 over and placing fifth overall. Also shooting 13 over and tying for fifth place would be Sophomore Trinity Le. Le would shoot her tournament best in the first round, carding a 77. Logging a top 15 finish, Juliana Hudman would tie for 12th overall, while shooting 20 over. Alyssa Goins would finish tied for 15th after shooting 23 over; while Xaviera Urrabazo would shoot 26 over and finish 17th overall.

The Celts will hit the links again October 18th at the Crusader Invitational in Thackerville, OK.
