Luna Leads All Golfers After Linda Lowrey Invitational Day 1

Women's Golf started play at the Linda Lowrey Invitational. At the end of the first round of action, the Celts are currently sitting at sixth place, just three strokes behind SCAC foe Southwestern. 

Emma Luna had a stellar day on the course and is currently tied for first place. Luna fired an opening round of 75 (+3) that included four birdies to keep herself competitive among the best. Trinity Le was behind her at 16th place. Although Le struggled on the back half of the course, Le finished with an 82 (+10) and eight pars and a birdie as St. Thomas was constantly fighting in the tournament. Rounding out the top three competitors for the Celts was Eden Hall. Hall started out strong firing a +4 on the first nine holes, and finished with an 86 (+14) after the first round of action.

Juliana Hudman was the next Celt competitor as she finished tied for 37th after the opening round. Hudman shot a 90 (+18) and five pars. Lastly Myra Truong was tied with Hudman at 37th and had six pars and a birdie to keep pace with other golfers.

With all scores combined, the Celts finished fifth place and just three strokes behind rival Southwestern for the highest-placing SCAC school at the tournament.
