Three Celts in Top Ten at Blinn Bucaneer Spring Invitational

Women's Golf competed at the Blinn Buccaneer Spring Invitational this Monday morning and afternoon. After a very competitive one-round playoff, the Celts finished just two strokes behind first place at +36.

Emma Luna notched a back-to-back first-place finish in today's tournament. Luna fired a 76 (+4) as her card showed four birdies and six pars. Not far behind was Juliana Hudman tied for fifth place overall. Hudman was consistent across the tournament firing 12 pars and a final score of 79 (+7) to cap off her day. Rounding out the top three finishers for St. Thomas was Trinity Le at 10th place. Le fired an 82 (+10) including a birdie on ten to keep the Celts competitive.

Myra Truong finished tied for 18th after carding an 87 (+15) in the one-round playoff. Truong shot five pars and 11 bogeys on the day. Also contributing to the Celt team score was Eden Hall. Hall fired a 92 (+20) including a birdie on hole five and three pars. 

Regina Perez also competed for St. Thomas, but as an individual. Perez shot a 101 (+29) to lock in 30th place. 

With all scores combined, St. Thomas finished with a total of 324 strokes, just two strokes behind first place.
