The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf team teed off today on Day 1 of the UH-Victoria Fall Classic in Victoria, TX, finishing the first round in fourth place with a team total of +37. The Jaguars' Fall Classic has a tricky and unconventional format as Round 1 was played at The Club at Colony Creek. Day Two will be played tomorrow at a different course across town: Riverside Golf Course. The Celts battled it out on the course against intense competition, with perennial Junior College National Championship Contender Blinn College and two strong former NAIA and Red River opponents OLLU and host UHV. The Buccaneers of Blinn College currently lead the pack after Day 1 with an impressive 4 strokes over par.
