Women’s Golf in fifth at Space City Classic

Houston, Texas — The University of St. Thomas women's golf team rests in fifth place at the Space City Classic as the tournament concluded play on Monday.

Senior Trinity Le led the Celts as she carded an 8-over par 79. Le's birdie on the par 4, 13th hole was a tap in and her only of the day. On her final hole, Le rolled in a par save from over 30 feet – to cap off round one on a good note as she sits two strokes out of the top 10.

Mary Hardin-Baylor is in first place after round one with an 18-over par 302. The Celts will look for a strong finish on Tuesday. Round two will be a shotgun start at 8:00am.
