Women's Golf Struggles at Day 1 of Regals Invitational

Los Angeles, California- After Round One at Cal Lutheran's Regals Invitational, the St. Thomas Women are currently sitting in 11th place firing a combined +54. The Celts will look to bounce back in round two, currently just three strokes behind Whitman.

Senior Trinity Le leads the Celts at 23rd place overall firing an 82 (+10). Le's scorecard included 7 pars and 2 birdies to keep herself in contention.

Not far behind was Freshman Emma Koch. Koch is currently tied for 28th after carding an 84 (+12) in the opening round. She had 7 pars and a key birdie on hole 6 to separate herself from the next wave of golfers. 

The Lineup:

Freshman Emma Cook currently sits tied for 43rd place after shooting an 87 (+15). Cook had 4 pars, 9 bogeys, and a birdie to make up her scorecard. 

Junior Emma Luna fired an 89 (+17) in round one. Luna carded 7 pars and a birdie to finish tied for 50th. 

Lastly, Sophomore Regina Perez locked in 53rd place carding a 90 (+18) in the first round of action. Perez had 6 pars and 7 bogeys throughout her day. 

As a team, the Celts team score read +54. St. Thomas will look to bounce back in round two.
