
Buckeye, AZ—The St. Thomas Celts concluded their fall season on a solid note, maintaining a 6th-place finish at the Firestorm Fall Invitational hosted by Arizona Christian University and competing against strong teams like Rocky Mountain, UBC Okanagan, Embry-Riddle (AZ), and Southern Oregon at the Verrado Golf Club. The Celts demonstrated grit and teamwork over two challenging days.
Cameron Frazier led the team, tying for 7th place individually with an impressive +8. Frazier's rounds of 77 and 74 highlighted her skill and consistency, solidifying the Celts' standing. Emma Cook contributed notably, finishing 21st with a two-round total of +16 and a determined second round of 82.
Emma Luna displayed impressive improvement, shooting a second-round 77 to finish tied for 23rd at +18 overall. Leah Torres followed closely behind, posting a total score of +22 with rounds of 82 and 84. Rounding out the lineup, Maddie Koch rebounded in Round 2, carding an 81 to finish tied for 35th at +27.
Overall, the Celts' team score improved from their first-round 322 to a stronger second-round 315, showcasing their ability to adapt and push forward under tournament pressure. The experience gained during this event and throughout the fall season will be invaluable as they prepare for their spring schedule.
