Women's Golf in Top Five at Space City Classic

Women's Golf completed their first home tournament in team history, the Space City Classic this Tuesday afternoon. After two rounds of action, the Celts finished in fifth place. 

Trinity Le led all UST golfers finishing tied for seventh place firing a final round of 80, for a (+9) overall score. Le had ten pars in the final round and a birdie to keep herself competitive amongst the tournament's best. Emma Luna finished with a final score of 86 and (+15) overall. Luna had 11 bogeys and five pars with a birdie on hole 17.

Regina Perez improved her round one score and shot an 81 (+10) in the final round. Perez had an outstanding day two, firing a birdie on hole two and hole eight. Juliana Hudman fired an 87 (+16) on the final round with seven pars on the day.

Rounding out the Celt competitors was Myra Truong. Truong improved her day one score a lot, shooting an 82 (+11) on day two. Truong was impressive, firing seven pars and a birdie on hole five to keep herself competitive.

At the conclusion of the tournament, St. Thomas finished with a team score of 654, good for fifth place overall.
