
HOUSTON, Texas – The University of St. Thomas Women's Golf team wrapped up the Space City Classic in fifth place after a tough second round at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course. The Celts posted a two-round total of +95, slipping two spots on the final leaderboard.
Leah Torres led UST with a strong performance, finishing tied for eighth overall at +19. She made a big improvement in the second round, shaving nine strokes off her first-day score to post a +5. Cameron Frazier followed, finishing tied for 18th at +24 after a solid opening round.
Emma Koch ended just one stroke behind Frazier, tying for 21st place with a total of +25. Emma Cook was close behind, tying for 23rd at +27. Regina Garcia Perez rounded out the team's top-five scorers, finishing at +33 for 32nd place.
Xiadani Islas, competing as an individual, posted a +42 to finish 38th.
