Hudman Highlights Day One of Alamo City Classic for St. Thomas

Women's Golf opened its fall season at the Alamo City Classic. At the end of day one, the Celts currently sit at 3rd place, just eight strokes out from first place. St. Thomas paced SCAC rivals Texas Lutheran, Dallas, and Schreiner on the first day of competition.

The Celts were led by junior Juliana Hudman who finished tied for fifth at the end of round one firing a 77 (+6). Highlighted by a birdie in hole 17, Hudman looks to continue her strong play tomorrow. Not far behind was sophomore Emma Luna tied for eighth with a 78 (+7). After a rocky first nine holes, Luna kept herself in the race with a birdie on hole 11 to keep her five strokes out from first. Rounding out the top three finishers for the Celts was junior Trinity Le. Le posted an 80 (+9) highlighted by 11 pars, tied for most by a St. Thomas Celt on the day. Senior Eden Hall and Freshman Regina Perez also competed for St. Thomas carding 84 (+13) and 86 (+15) respectively.
