Le and Luna Headline St. Thomas at Crusader Invitational

In a competitive 18-hole shootout, women's golf finished fourth place at the Crusader Invitational. Against adverse conditions on day one, the Celts were competitive, finishing higher than SCAC opponents: Dallas, Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran.

Trinity Le and Emma Luna headlined the day for St. Thomas finishing both tied for second overall. Both Le and Luna shot 80 (+8) on the course and were just one stroke behind first place. Luna carded nine bogeys and eight pars, but the highlight was a birdie on hole nine- the only one for St. Thomas. Le contributed 12 pars on the day to just six bogeys. Behind Le and Luna, Myra Truong fired 86 (+14) on the course. Truong shot seven pars and eight bogeys to help the Celts overall team score. Rounding out competitors for the Celts was freshman Regina Perez, who shot 96 (+24) in the tournament. Perez's day was highlighted by a par on hole 13.

At the conclusion of the tight 18-hole competition, St. Thomas was 4th, the second highest of any SCAC school. At just two strokes behind Southwestern, the Celts overall team score was 54.

Women's golf hits the links one more time for their fall season at the Firestorm Invitational on November 7th and 8th!
