Hamilton's 29-Point Performance Leads Celts to Victory

Women's Basketball picked up a huge conference victory Saturday night behind Micayla Hamilton's 29-point performance. The Celts would power past the Crusaders, recording their largest margin of victory of the 2021-22 season.

St. Thomas would jump all over Dallas right from the tip, outscoring them 16-6 in the first quarter. Hamilton and Jade Evans would lead the way with seven and six points, respectively.

The Celts would slowly inch head in the following frame, stringing together stops followed by timely scores. Hamilton would post 13 points in the quarter, heading into the break with a season-high 20 points.

Opening the second half with a 15-point lead, St. Thomas would continue to balloon their advantage to nearly 25. The Crusaders would have no answer to slow down the Celts momentum, resulting a 79-57 decision.

Hamilton would conclude the contest with the ridiculous stat line of 29 points, seven rebounds, six steals and three assists.

The Celts head home for a doubleheader next weekend with TLU and Southwestern. On Friday, February 4th, St. Thomas will face off with the Bulldogs of Texas Lutheran.
