Under the blazing Monday sun, the St. Thomas women's golf team participated in the 2024 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Preview. The event was played at the New Course at the White Bluff Resort in Whitney, TX., and provided teams in the SCAC an early opportunity to get to know the course and display their talents before the official Conference Championship in the spring at the same course. The lady Celts turned in a terrific first day and currently leads the pack at +42 to par with a total score of 330.
The Celt's lead is only one stroke as the Southwestern Pirates are on their heels with a +43. The duo of UST and Southwestern have provided themselves with plenty of cushion as the next closest competitors are Schriener and Concordia at 78 over.
On the individual leaderboard, Southwestern and UST fill out the top 6 spots, with Southwestern's Ryliegh Erickson leading the field at +4. The Celts' Emma Cook sits a stroke behind at 5 over.
