Baseball Drops Game Two to Trinity

The game remained scoreless through the first four innings, with both teams' pitchers showcasing their skills. Trajan Lee started on the mound for Trinity, pitching 4.2 innings of shutout baseball, supported by solid defense.

In the fifth inning, Trinity's offense broke the deadlock when Kaleb Woodward capitalized on a fielding error by St. Thomas' left fielder, driving in Jack Baker and giving Trinity a 1-0 lead.

St. Thomas' Kadin Munson delivered a strong pitching performance, allowing only one earned run over 6.2 innings while striking out eight batters. However, Trinity's offense managed to capitalize on opportunities, extending their lead in the eighth inning.

In the bottom of the eighth, Trinity added two insurance runs. Kai Tinker singled and advanced to second on a throwing error, allowing Korson Hastings to score. Kaleb Woodward then reached on a fielder's choice, driving in Khalfani Coney, increasing Trinity's lead to 3-0.

St. Thomas mounted a late rally in the ninth inning, as Alex Trinh singled up the middle, driving in Jarod Smith for their lone run of the game.

St. Thomas will look to bounce back in the series finale tomorrow.
