Celts Sweep Dallas Taking Game Three 10-6

Baseball wrapped up its three-game series with SCAC foe Dallas this Saturday afternoon. After nine innings of action, the Celts secured their first SCAC sweep of the season winning game three in double digits 10-6.

It didn't take long for the Celts to score as Cameron McClure hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Dylan Lamb. From there, the Crusaders responded with three runs in two innings to take the lead 3-1. After that, it was all St. Thomas though as the bats would come alive to score in every inning after. The scoring barrage was highlighted by Jeffrey Williams going yard with a deep shot to left center for the third time this season. Finally, capping off the nine-run explosion in the eighth inning was a two-RBI triple from Erik Garza to make the score 10-4 heading into the ninth.

Kadin Munson got the start for the Celts and pitched five innings. Munson allowed just three runs and recorded six strikeouts. Luke Sebesta came in relief and pitched a two-hit outing to get the win, then Kameron Craig came in the ninth to start the inning. After Dallas threatened with two runs, Brady Watson entered the game with two outs to finish the job and secured the 10-6 victory.

Up next, baseball heads to Belton, Texas for single-game series against Mary Hardin Baylor this Tuesday. Follow ustcelts.com for all scores and updates.
