St. Thomas (Tex.) clinched a 5-1 victory over Texas Lutheran on March 15, 2024, extending their winning streak and maintaining a perfect conference record.

The game remained scoreless until the second inning when Mason Seay crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly by Armando Rocha, giving St. Thomas a 1-0 lead. In the fourth inning, St. Thomas added to their lead as Adam Benavidez's RBI single brought Gabe Garner home, extending the lead to 2-0.

St. Thomas continued to build on their lead in the sixth inning when Armando Rocha's sacrifice fly scored Gabe Garner, making it 3-0. However, Texas Lutheran responded in the bottom of the seventh with Chase Bourgeois' RBI single, cutting the deficit to 3-1.

St. Thomas sealed the victory with Dillon McKee's solo home run in the eighth inning, increasing the lead to 4-1. In the ninth inning, an error by Texas Lutheran allowed Israel Fields to reach third base while Armando Rocha scored, extending the lead to 5-1.

Pitcher Austin Ryan delivered an outstanding performance for St. Thomas, pitching six scoreless innings and allowing no hits while striking out four batters. Gilberto Arreozola and Walker Holzhausen contributed solid relief appearances to secure the win.

With this win, St. Thomas improved to 8-12 overall and maintained a perfect 3-0 record in conference play, while Texas Lutheran fell to 11-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
