Baseball went to Dallas to face the UTD Comets in a single-game series this Tuesday afternoon. In a high-scoring game, it was the Comets who came out on top 12-8. 

In the first inning, both teams managed to score. St. Thomas drove in a run, however their lead was short lived as Texas-Dallas generated four hits leading to two runs. With the score 2-1, UTD would not stop there. The Comets added three runs in the second inning to put the Celts in a hole 5-1. After a quiet third inning from both teams, the St. Thomas offense finally broke the silence scoring off a passed ball, as the score showed 5-2. Yet, the Comets were able to add two more in the home half of the fourth to make the deficit five, 7-2. 

After adding one more run in the fifth, the St. Thomas bats finally broke out in the seventh inning. Powered by Erik Garza's third home run of the season, the Celts scored four runs to tie the game at seven runs apiece. Down to their last nine outs, UTD answered scoring five more runs though, to create a gap of 12-7. Then in the ninth, the Celts tried to spark a comeback adding a run, however it wasnt enough to win.
