Dr. Jo Anne Meier-Marquis took on the role of Faculty Athletics Representative in 2019. She is a tenured Associate Professor at UST.
Meier-Marquis’ duties at UST are numerous, as she holds the Chair of the Psychology Department, and is the Director of the school’s Freshman Symposium. She is also the Director of the Service Learning Program.
Dr. Meier-Marquis earned both her Master of Arts (1995) and Doctor of Philosophy (1999) degrees in Experimental Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Her areas of expertise include psychology, statistical analysis, parenting, experimental health, and relationships.
Meier-Marquis’ research activities focus on parenting relationships, health psychology and outcome evaluations of community outreach programs, altruism, and helping behavior. She can speak on social psychology, statistical analysis and experimental health.
