The St. Thomas Celt Men's Track and Field Team demonstrated their strength and competitiveness at the Rice University Twilight Invitational, delivering solid performances across various events. Here's a recap of the key highlights:

  1. Men's 1500m

    • James Urbina led the team in the Men's 1500m event, finishing strong with an impressive time of 4:03.63. He was closely followed by teammates Marc Mendoza and Diego Moya, who achieved personal bests with times of 4:08.47 and 4:08.53, respectively. Their collective effort showcased the team's depth and talent in middle-distance events.
  2. Men's 200m

    • Bryce McIntyre delivered a solid performance in the Men's 200m, finishing 7th with a time of 21.94. His strong finish demonstrated his speed and agility on the track.
  3. Men's 100m

    • Kashala Kapyamba secured a 5th place finish in the Men's 100m event, clocking a time of 11.11. Kapyamba's performance highlighted his speed and competitiveness in sprinting events.
  4. Men's High Jump

    • Matthew Hicks represented the team well in the Men's High Jump event, clearing 1.90m and earning the highest placing among DIII competitors at the meet with a 7th place finish. Hicks' strong performance demonstrated his skill and technique in the high jump event.
