Celts in 11th After Linda Lowrey Opening Round

Following the initial round at the Linda Lowrey Invitational, the Men's Golf team faced a challenging course, concluding the day in 11th place. With a team score of +43, the Celts aim to stage a comeback in the upcoming round.

Leading the charge, Marshall Hatcher and Antonio Ramirez each posted scores of 80 (+8) in round one, placing them in a shared 25th position. Ramirez showcased remarkable consistency with 11 pars before a late stumble on hole 18, while Hatcher's performance was highlighted by 8 pars and crucial birdies on holes 14 and 15, balancing against a few setbacks.

The Lineup:

Antonio Ramirez demonstrated steady play throughout the day, accumulating 11 pars before a challenging finish on hole 18, ultimately securing 25th place.

Marshall Hatcher showcased resilience with 8 pars and pivotal birdies on holes 14 and 15, keeping the Celts competitive despite encountering 6 bogeys and 2 double bogeys.

Cameron Curtis secured the 44th spot, delivering an 84 (+12) performance, marked by 7 pars and a well-earned birdie on hole 14.

Aydan Watson closed the day in 60th place with a score of 87 (+15), navigating through 8 bogeys, 3 double bogeys, and a timely birdie.

Patrick Smetek faced challenges on the course, finishing with an 89 (+17), yet displaying improvement in the latter half with 5 pars and a birdie after a tough start.

Additionally, Jason Roettgers competed as an individual, concluding the round in 13th place with a solid score of 78 (+6).
