In a hard-fought contest against LeTourneau, the St. Thomas women's tennis team faced a tough 2-7 loss.
The doubles matches started with a promising victory from Anamaria Gonzalez & Lucia Rodriguez on Line One, securing an 8-4 win. However, the Celts faced setbacks on Lines Two and Three, with Jenny Reynolds & Karissa Guzman falling 3-8 and Aimee Tran & Nataly Velasco clinching a close 8-5 victory.
Moving into singles play, the Celts encountered tough opposition. Anamaria Gonzalez fought hard but ultimately fell with scores of 1-6, 4-6 on Line One. Lucia Rodriguez faced a closely contested match on Line Two, narrowly losing with scores of 4-6, 7-8 (6), 0-6. Karissa Guzman encountered difficulties and fell with scores of 2-6, 1-6 on Line Three, while Jenny Reynolds had to retire from her match on Line Four due to injury. Nataly Velasco put up a strong effort but ultimately fell with scores of 7-6 (7), 6-7 (5), 0-5 on Line Five. Aimee Tran faced a tough opponent and fell with scores of 2-6, 2-6 on Line Six.
Despite their efforts, the St. Thomas women's tennis team was unable to overcome LeTourneau, facing a 2-7 defeat in the match.
