JeJuan French joined the University of St. Thomas as the Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2019, later promoted to Assistant Director of Sports Medicine in 2023. He is an outreach athletic trainer through Memorial Hermann, covering Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Track and Field, and Volleyball. In his role he is responsible for the evaluation of injuries, overseeing treatment and rehabilitation, coordination of physician care and contributing to the prevention and education of our student athlete population. He also serves as a clinical preceptor for the University of Houston Master's of Athletic Training Program.

An Ann Arbor, Michigan native, French earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Western Michigan University in 2016. He later earned his Master’s of Education in Sports Management at the University of Texas in 2021. 

In 2017, French took a position with Emory & Henry College in Emory, VA as the assistant athletic trainer for Football, Men’s Basketball, as well as being the head athletic trainer for Men’s and Women’s Golf. While at E&H he also served as a preceptor to their undergraduate athletic training program. In 2018, French completed an Athletic Training residency with Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, where he also served as the assistant athletic trainer at George Bush High School. The residency specialized in orthopedics and manual therapy. Working for Memorial Hermann has led to opportunities to work with the Sugar Land Skeeters, AAU Junior Olympic Games, IRONMAN Triathlons, and sports medicine educational clinics.

French is a national certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas. French is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association
