DaCota Kauffman is a Giddings, Texas native who started baseball at a young age. He played at Giddings High School where he was a three-year varsity player at Second base. Then in college, he played collegiately at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and started at shortstop in just his freshman year. Finally, DaCota finished his career at Texas State University as a baseball student assistant from 2019 to 2021. He has been a volunteer assistant at UST for the past 2 years where he has instantly made an impact on the program through recruiting and coaching at first base. Now as a full-time assistant, DaCota looks to continue to lead this program in the right direction under new head Coach Torry Peterson with increased responsibility and growth opportunities.
