Celts Finish Fifth At Alamo City Classic

After Day 2 of the Alamo City Classic, the St. Thomas Celt Men's Golf team wrapped up a tie for 5th place with a total score of +14 (281-295-290, total 866) for the event. Here's a recap of the individual performances:

  • Antonio Ramirez (T10, +1): Antonio finished strong with a bogey-free 69 in the final round to secure a top 10 individual score. Antonio recorded 2 birdies and 16 pars to lead the Celts in the final round.

  • Zach Allen (T16, +2): Zach continued his solid week with a final round score of 72. He recorded 3 birdies and 11 pars to finish off a sound overall performance.

  • Marshall Hatcher (T26, +6): Marshall concluded his week in the top half of the field after a final round 76. Marshall recorded 2 more birdies after a strong start to his week, finishing with a total of 8 birdies for the week.

  • Cameron Curtis (T36, +11): Cameron bounced back with a final round 73, putting a solid finish on his week. He recorded 2 birdies and 12 pars in the final round.

  • Jason Roettgers (43, +14): Jason wrapped up the week in 43rd place, recording 1 birdie and 10 pars in a final round 78.

The Trinity University B team ended up winning the event, with a total score of -9 (284-281-278, total 843).

The Celts showed resilience throughout the event, led by Antonio Ramirez and Zach Allen. The team looks to build on a strong performance overall in the next few weeks.
