Men's Golf wrapped up the NCAA Tournament this Friday afternoon. After the fourth round of action, the Celts finished ranked 16th in the tournament powered by strong individual performances from Jonathan Miller and Cade Kiser.
Jonathan Miller fired a final round of 71 (-1) as his scorecard included five birdies and ten pars. Miller's overall score finished at 289, good for 17th overall. Cade Kiser was not far behind carding a team-best 69 (-3) in the final round. Kiser jumped 18 places with a final score of 291, good for 18th overall. Rounding out the Celts' top three, senior Henry Phavorachit improved from his previous round to a 77 (+5). His final score was 309, to lock in 86th place.
Patrick Smetek also lowered his score to 77 (+5) in round four. His overall placement was 88th, with a combined score of 310. Finally, Cameron Curtis finished 96th, firing a 82 (+10) in round four. Curtis improved his score by 13 strokes to finish with 334.
When today's scores were combined, St. Thomas finished with a 294-team score, their second-best of the tournament. With all scores tallied, St. Thomas finished with 1197, good for sixteenth best in the nation.
