Two Celts In Top Ten after Day One of San Antonio Shootout

At the end of the first day of competition, Men's Golf landed two golfers in the top ten of the San Antonio Shootout. Behind a great two rounds from Cade Kiser and Cameron Curtis, the Celts currently sit at sixth place.

Cameron Curtis (+3) leads all Celts checking in at seventh place in the pool of 50 golfers. Curtis fired an outstanding round one score of 71 (-1) and followed it up with 76 (+4) in round two. Cade Kiser (+4) shot 77 (+5) in round one but rebounded in round two. Round two saw Kiser log a score of 71 (-1) which helped him lock in a ninth-place finish for day one.

Henry Phavorachit was next for St. Thomas at 33rd place, firing rounds of 78, 79 (+13). Not far behind was Patrick Smetek who carded rounds of 79, 80 (+15) to lock in 38th place. Finally, Jonathan Miller also competed for the Celts and improved his round one score of 84 (+12) with a 81 (+9) in round two. 

When the dust settled, St. Thomas' team score at the end of day one was 611, tied for sixth place overall.
