Men's Golf Finishes 8th at San Antonio Shootout

SAN ANTONIO, TX. — The Celts turned in an 18-hole score of 37-over-par 325 placing 8th place at the spring season-opening San Antonio Shoot Out at TPC San Antonio. Junior transfer Marshall Hatcher finished in 28th place in the individual standings.

Redlands claimed the team title after an 18-over-par 306 in the final round, one stroke shy of the low team score of the day. They would finish the tournament at 31-over par (298, 147, 306). The Celts will have a quick turnaround once they arrive in Houston. The Celts 87-over par (322, 160, 325) is something they will be motivated to improve upon heading into the week.

Next week, the Celts will be in Houston as they co-host the Space City Classic with Trinity University, on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 26 and 27. The tournament will be held at Gus Wortham, the site of the 2023 Houston City Amateur Championship.
