Celt Men Finish Fourth at John Bohmann Memorial Invitational

In the thrilling conclusion of the John Bohmann Invitational, the St. Thomas men's golf team showcased their talent and determination, ultimately securing a commendable fourth-place finish with a team score of 873. The Celts' strong performance allowed them to best their SCAC rival, Schreiner, and Texas Lutheran, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in collegiate golf.

In the third and final round of the tournament, the St. Thomas Celts demonstrated their resilience and skill on the challenging par 71 course. Here's a breakdown of their individual scores and final standings:

  • Antonio Ramirez delivered an outstanding final round, carding a 71, which brought his total score to 218. This impressive performance earned him 11th place overall, showcasing his consistency and determination throughout the tournament.

  • Marshall Hatcher also secured 11th place with a total score of 218. Despite facing tough competition, Marshall displayed remarkable golfing prowess and a competitive spirit that contributed significantly to the team's success.

  • Zach Allen continued to impress, posting a solid 73 in the final round. His consistent play throughout the tournament earned him 14th place with a total score of 219, making him a vital contributor to the team's strong finish.

  • Patrick Smetek displayed his skills on the course, posting a 74 in the final round and finishing in 17th place overall with a total score of 220. Patrick's dedication and steady performance were key elements in the Celts' success.

  • Cameron Curtis battled through the final round, carding a 79, which brought his total score to 225, securing 29th place in the overall standings. His contributions throughout the tournament were instrumental in the team's overall performance.

  • Jason Roettgers competed as an individual. In the final round he fired a 72 to finish with a 221 overall score, locking in 21st place. 

  • Lawson Fiscus also competed as an individual. In round three Fiscus shot a 76 to bring his score to 226, good for 32nd.

When all the scores were tallied, St. Thomas finished with a team score of 873.
