Men's Golf Pushes Through Day 3 of NCAA Championships

After day three at the NCAA Championships, Men's Golf dropped one placement into 16th place. The Celts struggled to lower their scores in this round at the Champion's Trace course at the Keene Trace Golf Club.

Jonathan Miller continued to lead St. Thomas with a round-three score of 75 (+3). Miller is currently tied for 18th place and had three birdies to make his overall score just two over par. Cade Kiser fired a round three of 77 (+5) and also had three birdies on the day. Kiser's overall score is now +6 to lock in 41st place. Rounding out the St. Thomas top three was Henry Phavorachit after he carded an 81 (+9). Henry tied Kiser and Miller with a team-high three birdies in round three as he brought is score to 16 over par, good for 85th place.

Also competing, Patrick Smetek fired an 80 (+8) to make his overall score 17 over par, and Cameron Curtis at 95 (+23) for a score of 36 over par. Both golfers finished 89th and 96th respectively.

With the scores tallied, St. Thomas finished with a team score of 313, and 903 total, good for 16th place overall.

Notable Stats:

  • The Celts now have 141 total pars and 39 total birdies in the tournament

  • On Par Five holes, St. Thomas is now shooting just one over, with a scoring average of 5.02

  • Jonathan Miller's scoring average of 2.75 on par three holes is good for second best in the entire tournament

  • Jonathan Miller is tied for second overall in birdies with 13
