Spirit hosted their first recruit clinic of the year this Sunday afternoon. After a long day of cheer and dance practice, the Celts are excited to continue building their roster for now into the future.
The day began with the cheer team as they went through a full practice and new routine. After light conditioning, current and new team members went through various trials to prepare for the sidelines and on-court performances. Members learned various calls to pump up the crowd and tumble as they went through the day.
Then later in the day the team and incoming recruits were welcomed by dance. The dance clinic involved the Celts learning new moves as they perfect their craft. Current and new team members were instructed by Head Coach Ceirra Bonds as they went through previous and new routines to prepare for upcoming events.
"It is an exciting time for UST spirit. New and current team members can expect exponential growth," Head Coach Ceirra Bonds added. "For those looking to be a part of the journey you can expect us to be at more games and events on campus. Being a part of our upcoming spirit program is history in the making as look to build up to competitions in the spring!"
