Distance Runners Shine at Howie Ryan Invitational

The St. Thomas Celts Women's Track and Field Team exhibited exceptional performances at the Howie Ryan Invitational, setting records, achieving personal bests, and showcasing their talent across various events. Here's a recap of the key highlights:

Tori Ramirez set a new school record in the mile with an impressive time of 5:33.66, finishing 16th overall. Sophia Sanchez achieved a personal best time of 5:42.62, while Elyssa and Samantha Hernandez also delivered strong performances with times of 5:45.85 and 5:46.08, respectively, contributing to the team's success in distance events.

Trinity Provost achieved a personal best time of 8.04 in the 60m, showcasing her speed and agility. Peyton Walton clocked a time of 8.19, securing her place as the 5th all-time in program history. Emorie Proctor achieved a personal best time of 8.41, demonstrating her improvement and dedication.

Peyton Walton delivered an impressive performance in the 60m hurdles, achieving a personal best time of 9.48, dropping nearly a second. Her dedication and improvement highlighted her potential in hurdling events.

Christina Stinson emerged as the top finisher for the Celts in the 400m, clocking a time of 1:00.11 and finishing 18th overall.

Karelann Skinner set a new school record in the 800m with a time of 2:26.78, finishing 16th overall. Elyssa Rodarte achieved a personal best time of 2:34.16, while Elizabeth Stepaniak also delivered a strong performance with a time of 2:35.24, contributing to the team's success in middle-distance events.

Trinity Provost set a new school record in the 200m with a time of 25.69, showcasing her speed and versatility. Sophie Delgado achieved a personal best time of 26.06, placing her 3rd all-time in program history. NyCierra Hinton achieved a season-best time of 27.34, contributing to the team's success in sprinting events.

The St. Thomas Celts Women's Track and Field Team's performance at the Howie Ryan Invitational demonstrated their depth, talent, and commitment to excellence.
