Newcomers and Vets Lead Celts at Leonard Hilton Invitational

Women's Track and Field opened their Winter 2023 season at the Leonard Hilton Invitational in Houston, Texas. The Celts had an outstanding day on the track, highlighted by performances from freshman to help power them through the meet.

Newcomer Ebonee Nation kicked off her 2023 with a bang in the 60m hurdles. Nation ran the event in an impressive 9.76, setting the school record in that race, and placing 18th overall. This was the highest among all DIII competitors at the meet. Joining Nation was freshman Mykler Roderique, as she also set a school record, this time in the 60m dash. Roderique showcased her speed with a time of 8.06, just over half a second behind first place. Finally, in a highly competitive 200m dash, Sophia Delgado showcased her speed clocking a 27.33, less than three seconds behind first place, and ahead of a plethora of Division I competition.
