Nation's New 100m Hurdle Time Powers Celts at Bobcat Classic

Women's Track and Field ran at the Bobcat Classic this past weekend. New personal bests highlighted the day even though the Celts competed in limited events. 

Starting off the meet for St. Thomas were the distance runners. In the 1500m run, Samantha Hernandez locked in a 15th place finish running it in 5:11.09. Hernandez finished ahead of a SCAC rival Trinity runner and two Division One runners. Also competing for the Celts was Hailey Perez who clocked a 5:26.98 to finish 26th.

Next in the 100m Hurdles, Ebonee Nation finished 34th place ahead of many competition. Nation set a new best clocking 14.92, securing fourth in the west region and 20th place in the nation.

Then in the 400m Hurdles, Sophia Delgado clocked 1:09.38 to finish 35th.

Lastly in the 4x100 relay, the Celts continued to showcase their speed clocking 48.53 as their fastest time. The foursome of Mylker Roderique, Trinity Provost, Kaela Sawyers, and Ny'Cierra Hinton ran the second fastest time of any Division III school at the meet.
