Softball continued SCAC play against the Austin College Roos this Saturday afternoon. The Celts were dominant, taking games two and three for their first SCAC sweep of the season.

Game 2: UST 11 AC 3

Although Austin College got on the board first in the first inning, St. Thomas responded with four runs of their own in the home half, powered by six hits. Then after a quiet second inning from both teams, Austin College broke the silence with two runs of their own to cut deficit to one 4-3. However, when it looked like the 'roos would claw their way back into the game Mallarie Munson went yard for the third time this season to score two as the score now read 6-3. From there, St. Thomas only added to their lead with three runs in the fourth and two runs in the sixth to secure the 11-3 victory. 

Game 3: UST 8 AC 0

From the first pitch, it was like the Roos were playing from behind. In the bottom of the first, the Celts struck with two runs, one from Rebecca Archibald and another from Chloe Bennett. From there, the Celts added two more, with steals from Adelyn Beccera and Hailey Jackson. Then the Celts only added to their lead and secured their first SCAC sweep of the season, winning game three 8-0.
