Game One: UST-8   SU-2

St. Thomas would kick off conference play with a hot-start, plating a pair of runs in both the second and third innings. RBIs from Lindsey Gonzalez and Delayne Moreno would spark the Celts offense, giving them the early advantage. After Lindsey Longuet would toss another scoreless inning, Addison Lehew would leave her print on the game with a two-run blast, her first career home run.

Later in the contest, the Mountaineers would tack on two runs to cut their deficit to three, but St. Thomas would answer with a four-run sixth inning to close the door on Schreiner.

In the circle, Longuet (5-1) would pitch six innings, only surrendering four hits while striking out seven batters.

Freshman Lindsey Gonzalez would lead the Celts, going two-for-five with three RBIs. Paige Odenbach would record an RBI in the contest as well, going two-for-three from the box.

Game Two: UST-2   SU-3

The Celts offense would slow down in day one's finale. They would be stumped from the plate, only recording four hits for the game. Schreiner would strike first in the bottom of the third inning, supplying a pair of runs. Sydnee Cromwell would cut this lead in half with an RBI double the very next inning, however, the Mountaineers would answer with a run of their own in the bottom half of the frame.

With the contest's end nearing, the Celts would come within one run after Paige Odenbach's two-out RBI. St. Thomas would load the bases in this inning, but would fail to capitalize, stranding three runners.

In the final frame, down to their final out, the Celts again would have runners in scoring position. The Mountaineers, however, would squeak their way out of the inning to clinch the win.

St. Thomas will be back in action tomorrow to conclude their series with Schreiner
