Men's Track & Field Impresses in McNeese Indoor Meet

Men's Track & Field competed in the McNeese State Indoor Meet in Lake Charles, Louisiana this past weekend and had a strong showing in just their second indoor meet in program history.

 

Bryce McIntyre turned heads in the 400 Meter Run, clocking a 52.32 time, securing a second-place finish overall. In a field of 20 runners, Eduardo Waller would finish just two spots behind McIntyre, running a 52.66.

 

In the 200 Meter Dash, Makale Mingo would lock in a top five finish for the first time this season, running a 23.22.  Mingo would also impress in the Long Jump, logging a 6.42m jump, good enough for an eighth-place finish in the event.

 

Jhancarlos Caprio would have a top-ten finish in the 800 Meter Run while running a 2:01 time. Carlos Hinojosa would also compete in this stacked event, finishing 13th overall with a 2:04 time.

 

Lucas Wolf would clock a Celt-best 4:42 time in the One Mile Run. Wolf would finish third in his heat and 13th overall while Jaxon Boyd (4:44) would land just three spots after him in 16th place.

 

The Celts will be back in action on February 11th at the Howie Ryan Invitational in Houston, Texas.
