Carpio Sets School Record at Occidental Distance Carinval

UST Track and Field hit the jets to California for the Occidental Distance Carnival this past Saturday. The Celts were only featured in the 5000m race and shined setting a school record from Jhancarlos Carpio.

Jhancarlos Carpio led all Celts in the 5000m event setting the school record. Carpio ran 15:02.82 smashing the record by 20 seconds in the Mens 5000m. James Urbina also dipped under the old record running 15:05.52, both currently sit 5th and 6th overall in the SCAC Conference. Lucas Wolf also ran the event in a speedy 15:31.39 and finished 93rd. Lastly, behind Wolf was Hector Solis who clocked 15:38.25 to place 108th.
