Men's Track And Field Races at SFA's Carl Knight Invitational

Men's Track traveled to SFA for the Carl Knight Invitational. After a full day of track action, the Celts showcased their speed against high level Division I competition. 

In the 100m dash, Bryce McIntyre blazed his competition in a speedy 10.91. This ranked him in top five in his heat and secured 7th place overall in the SCAC. Not far behind was Kashala Kapyamba, who checked in at 10.94, just .03 seconds behind McIntyre. Also competing was Victor Davis who finished 31st overall at 11.03 and Eduardo Waller at 37th with a time of 11.11.

The next race was the 200m dash. Kashala Kapyamba led all Celts at 25th place and a time of 22.27. Terrance Veal finished 43rd at 23.19 and Jacolby Mattox 49th at 23.70. Lastly, Carlos Cazares finished 51st with a time of 24.19 to round out the St. Thomas runners. 

Up next was the 400m dash as five Celts competed. Jacob Smith finished 18th place with a time of 51.25. Smith was the third best Division III runner in the race. Terrance Veal also set his season best with a time of 51.54 to lock in 25th place. Then Todd Pierre and Bertran Grant finished 33rd and 34th with times of 53.49 and 53.72 respectively. Finally, Will Brisco also raced and registered a time of 54.61 to finish 36th place. 

Then in the 800m run, Lucas Wolf was the lone Celt who finished the race in a fast time of 2:10.01. Wolf at the 400m point was 34th place, but jumped to 27th by the end of the race. 

Up next, its the SCAC meet for Track and Field! Follow the Celts as they travel to Georgetown, Texas as they look to claim the top spot in the conference!
