HOUSTON TX- Women's tennis kicked off SCAC play with a dominant 9-0 shutout over Texas Lutheran University. 

In doubles, Alejandra Lopez and Anamaria Gonzales started the Celts off hot. The duo put together an 8-0 victory over their opponents which propelled further lines. Alyssa Davilia and Jenny Reynolds continued this momentum winning their match 8-2. Finally, line three saw St. Thomas complete a doubles sweep with Karissa Guzman and Regina Lopez taking their match 8-1.

Singles saw similar results for the Celts. Led by Jenny Reynold's sweep over her opponent, the Celts were able to halt any TLU momentum. With the completion of this match, St. Thomas opens conference play 1-0. 

Women's tennis continues their season on the road next week at Hardin-Simmons.
