Women's Tennis Continued SCAC play against the TLU Bulldogs this Saturday afternoon. The Celts were able to showcase their skills on the court and picked up their first win of the season 7-2.
In doubles, line one of Anamaria Gonzalez and Karissa Guzman outplayed their opponent 8-3 to get the win. Then in line two, Alejandra Lopez and Ella Mullins were dominant, taking down their foe 8-2 for the second win of the series. However, line three was unable to secure the match, but fortunately for the Celts, they maintained a 2-1 lead heading into singles.
In singles play, Anamaria Gonzalez limited her line one opponent to just three points in two sets winning 6-1, 6-2. Then in line two, Alejandra Lopez shut down TLU winning 6-1, 6-1 before Ella Mullins clinched the win by taking down her opponent 6-0, 6-2. Regina Lopez also got on the board for St. Thomas winning 8-3, and Jenny Reynolds wrapped up the day with a 6-2 win in her deciding set.
